    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at No 21 Kite & Balloon Section RFC Camp, [France] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer hopes she and the children are getting on all right; - notes he has had a busy time of late and the balloon has been shifted again to another pitch and at which he is on guard duty; - comments that he and five other men are sleeping in a dugout, "it is a funny little place as it is made up with about a dozen tree trunks laid over a wide sort of trench and is very shallow so we crawl in by a trench"; - comments it is a lot better than a good many of the places he has slept in out there; - is glad to hear that Rose & Emily [Christine Dillingham's sister's] came through the air raid alright; - notes that Ben is taken up with the baby next door, and asks what does Mrs Fowler say about it?; - does not think that Ben should be sent to school just yet, "There is plenty of time for him yet and it will do him good to run about a bit"; - asks if Ede Carr has heard from Archie Carr as to whether he has landed alright?; - notes he has received a letter from Atkins telling him he was in hospital along with Frank Brinkler in Mesopotamia; - is glad to hear that the garden is going well and asks how the sweet peas are;
