"The country round is very pretty with a lot of woods and hills"; - comments the weather has been a lot warmer although when it rains there is not much room for twelve men in a tent; - has bumped into Willie Denton who was on Guard Duty and has caught up on old times together; - notes they went for supper and wine in the town; - comments that there are a lot of German Prisoners about and that they work in the different camps. "They are a rather big lot of fellows but look very rough & dirty"; - notes it is very laughable to hear the fellows try to talk French to the French; - hopes she and the children are keeping well and asks her to tell mother that he will write soon;
