    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at RFC Camp, Lydd [Kent]; to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer is still in Lydd [Kent] and has received a letter from his wife; - is glad to hear that his wife liked the photograph that he sent her; - comments that he is glad that the potatoes have been dug by Frank and asks how many there were?; - thinks that George will have to go and wont get off, but it wont do him much harm; - notes his wife should receive a 10 shilling note and if she needs more to contact him "I know you must have a job to make your money do as things are so dear now"; - notes he is sorry to hear that May is poorly and hopes that "she has not got manfever as that is a very bad thing to suffer from"; - comments Archie Ayler had been called up and its a pity that old Scribe isn't called up; - notes they are having a quiet time down there; - comments how he went to the pictures for a couple of hours and that they had some very decent films although some of them were a bit far fetched; - notes the weather is very poor and that there is nowhere to go in the camp only the tent "it fairly gets on the nerves after a time"; - thinks they will be leaving for France either Sunday Afternoon or first thing Monday morning; - "Try and be as cheerful as you can as the War cant last much longer"
