    Letter: from Richard Dillingham at Number 2 Balloon School of Instruction, RFC, Lydd [Kent] to Christine Dillingham at Kings Road, Flitwick - writer has moved camp from Farnborough to Lydd, the camp is smaller than the last and is half an hour by rail from Ashford and 3 miles from the sea near Dungeness. The journey lasted six hours "it was just enough to cook you and we couldn't get a drop of drink"; - expresses upset that he will now not see his wife at the weekend; - notes that they are camping nine men to a tent, "I think I have got into a very decent lot of men although there are some of the other sort too". He describes the place as being miserable with no where to go; - comments that his arm is still inflamed and that he has had to fall out of drill several times; - will only receive 36 hours leave; - is sorry to hear that father is poorly again and hopes that he and mother will be better again soon and that he will write to them; - asks does Ben still want to know where I am? Kiss him and the baby;
