Letter: from Richard Dillingham at RFC Camp, Farnborough [Hampshire] to Christine Dillingham, Kings Road, Flitwick - comments "how I wish I could just be at home, instead of this rotten hole"; - notes that he has received a parcel, which contained a cake and cherries, from his mother and a letter in which she tells him that Frank has got his papers for the army and "that he is just about worried to death about it. I wonder if he feels as clever about it now"; - suggests that he should join the RFC; - notes he is not feeling up to it, as his arm is troubling him where he has been vaccinated; - asks whether she liked her brooch?; Sunday morning - runs through the details of the church service; - notes a lot of fellows are being posted out of the section, and that they are mostly posted all over the country. "We have got 4 new fellows in the tent, two of them being professional footballers and cricketers of Lancashire and Everton"; - hopes he might be home next weekend; - asks his wife not to send him anything this week as he still has his cake from his mother; - comments on the weather brightening up and that the tents are a bit cold first thing in the morning;
