Joan and in demesne Isabel ''de eadem'' 1 in Turville of the honour Ralph Pyrott 4 in Harlington honour in Beds & Bucks., half to Isabel, half to Ralph Ric. s. Robt. de Turvey 1 in Turvey of the honour Walt. s. Sim. 2 1/2 in Tingrith, Crawley & Hillcote of the honour Ralph de St. Amand & Isabel d' Aubigny 1/2 in Westcotes 1/20 in ?? in demesne Ric. Cosyn (and 1 hide ) 1/4 in Holme & Stratton of the honour Prior of Llanthony ( 5 hides in frankalmoin) in Henlow of the honour Ralph de St. Amand (iv) & Isabel d' Aubigny share the barony of Cainho; great seal (incomplete but repaired ). (i) From the original returns of 1166; see introduction to Red Book of 1230, where it is said that certificates of this kind were not uncommon. (ii) See Book of Fees, ii, 890; lists supplied in connection with the royal expedition to Poitou, 1242-3. (iii) Joan d' Aubigny (m. Geof. de Beauchamp) was one of the 3 sisters and coh. of Robt. d'Aubigny (d. c. 1233); Azeline m Ralph de St. Amand and Isabel m. Wm. de Hocton. Cf. Book of Fees, ii, 460: aid levied for marriage of Henry III's daughter, 1235/6, where the 3 holders of the barony of Cainho are each assessed at 6 3/8 fees. (iv) Query: later note of Joan's death?"
