    Abstract of title of Edward Burr esq., to a freehold public house called the Swan with Two Necks, Dunstable, being Lot 7. Abstracting as follows: (I) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 23 and 24 Mar 1759 between Sir William Calvert, Knight and Alderman of the City of London, Charles Thornberry of Thames Street, London, esquire and Thomas Waters of Loughton, Essex, esquire, as trustees of the estate of (ii), (i), Lillie Smith Aynscombe of St. Leonards Hill, Cleworth, Berks and Valentina his wife, grand-daughter, heir at law and devisee of Thomas Aynscomb, esquire, deceased (ii) and John Kane of Dunstable, victualler (iii). In consideration of 60 paid by (iii) to (i), (i) conveys to (iii), all that barn, stable, garden and hereditaments in Rudding, otherwise Rouching Lane in Dunstable. (II) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 24 and 25 Dec 1781 [forming a conveyance] from JK to Mary Parker of Dunstable, widow, for 200, of all that cottage or tenement in Middle Row in the South Street, Dunstable, commonly called the Shoulder of Mutton, previously in the occupation of Sarah Roe, then George Roe, also a tenement in the occupation of John Chapman and Jane Roe; also all that barn, stable and garden in Rudding or Pouching Lane, Dunstable, previously in the occupation of John Keene.(III) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 6 and 7 Mar 1752 [forming a conveyance] from Richard Rowe, late of Dunstable and then of Clerkenwell, Middx. distiller (i) to Thomas Horn of Dunstable, barber and peruke maker (ii), for 160, ((ii) to retain 122, being the sum due on a mortgage he held on the premises; the remainder, 38 to be paid to (i)), of all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances wherein John Lord Ireland then dwelt, in Middle Row, Dunstable, and also all that barn and stable containing 4 bays of building in Rudding Lane. (IV) Indenture of Assignment dated 7 Mar 1752 between TH (i), Richard Roe (ii) and Edward Snoxell of Dunstable, schoolmaster, acting as trustee (iii), whereby (i) assigns to (iii) in trust for (i), with the consent of (ii), to attend the inheritance of the residue of the unexpired term of 500 years on land as in (III).Recitals: Indenture of Lease dated 19 Jan 1749 from W. Roe and Catherine his wife to John Pearson of St. James, servant, of a mortgage of the premises as in (III) for a term of 500 years to secure 100 with interest. Indenture dated 6 May 1751 [forming an assignment of mortgage between JP (i), RR (ii), and TH (iii), whereby in consideration of 100 paid by (iii) to (i), and a further 20 paid to (ii) by (iii), (i) assigns to (ii), at the direction of (iii), the residue of the term of 500 years on lands as above.(V) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 19 and (continued) 20 Mar 1752 [forming a conveyance] from TH and Elizabeth his wife (i) to Edward Mouse of Dunstable, victualler (ii), for 165 5s., of land as in (III).(VI) The will of Edward Mouse dated 20 Feb 1771 devising unto his daughter Mary Snoxell, wife of Edward Snoxell of Dunstable, yeoman for the term of her natural life, the tenement now called the Lion and Lamb then in the occupation of Charles Crown, situated in Middle Row, Dunstable, subject to the payment of 5 p.a. to his wife, Mary for the term of her natural life.(VII) Indentures of Lease and Release and Assignment dated 31 Jul and 1 Aug 1800 between Daniel Parker and Mary his wife (i), Richard Gutteridge (ii) Edward Smith, brewer (iii) and Daniel Rolfe Munn, brewer and Thomas Smith, tanner (iv). Recitals: Agreement between (i) and (iii) to become partners in the business of malsters and brewers, and that each of them should bring in money or property to the sum of 1000 (i) was entitled to the lands herein mentioned and that they should become the joint estate of (i) and (iii) the lands were valued at 11678 5s. 7d. and (iii) should for his moiety of the capital of 8000 pay to (i) the sum of 4000; upon receipt (i) should convey the lands in trust for the intended partnership. In consideration of the recited agreement (ii) at the direction of (i), with the consent of (iii), conveys to (iv), in trust for DP and (iii) the land as previously recited.(VIII) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 28 and (continued) 29 Sep 1803 [forming a conveyance] from Edward Snoxell of Holborn, Middx., yeoman, William Snoxell of Dunstable, yeoman, Martha Snoxell of Dunstable, spinster (as the surviving children of Mary Snoxell, the wife of Edward Snoxell of Dunstable, yeoman) (i), at the direction of DP and ES (ii), to DRM and TS (iii) for 411 12s., of all that messuage or tenement with the appurtenances then in the occupation of Thomas Rutland, then of William Fadler being in Middle Row, Dunstable, known as the Lion and Lamb, and then the Swan with Two Necks, and also all that barn and stable containing four bays of building standing in Pudding Lane, Dunstable; the barn then of Jane Cart, widow and also one garden plot adjoining the barn.(IX) Indentures of Lease and Release dated 12 and 13 Oct 1804 between Rebecca Lucy, widow (i), Richard Gutteridge (ii), Leonard Hampson, gentleman (iii) DRM and TS (iv), Richard Brown, malster (v), Robert Langley Appleyard, gentleman and Emanuel Muller, merchant (vi), Daniel Parker and Edward Smith (vii), Thomas Burr, common brewer (viii), and Jonathan Burr, common brewer (ix). Recitals: Partnership between (vii) dissolved on 24 Mar 1803 (viii) agreed with (vii) for the absolute purchase of the said land, subject to certain mortgages In consideration of several sums of money paid to the parties (iv), at the request of (vii) conveys to (viii) the following land:all that messuage or tenement with the (continued) appurtenances late in the occupation of Thomas Rutland and then of William Falder situated in Middle Row, Dunstable known as the Lion and Lamb and then the Swan with Two Necks; the messuage of Thomas Groom, esquire, since of Thomas Goodwin, groom, and then late of Thomas Scott being on the S, and the messuage late of John Cain and then of DP called the Shoulder of Mutton being on the N, and fronting on Watling Street. And also all that one barn containing four bays of building in Pudding Lane, Dunstable and one garden plot adjoining.
