Includes the following: - Letter from John H Thomson to Messrs Robinson & Hall stating that he had not made an offer of 2500 for the property, and authorising the manager of McConnells to negotiate for the property as possible parochial buildings on his behalf [18 Jun 1955]; - Letter to John H Thomson from Mr Illingworth of McConnells apologising for being unable to meet him but expressing concern about the possible purchase of Greyfriars Hall, considering it to be structurally unsuited to the purpose.[29 Aug 1955]; - Letter from JOhn H Thomson stating that he was going to France [1 Sep 1955]; - Letter from Mr Illingworth asking Mr Thomson to think again before going ahead with the purchase of the Mission Hall. Also states that he had spoke to Father Cavvachi ' and he is not at all happy that the Housing Assocciation as now envisaged is likely to work with Italian nationals. [2 Sep 1955]; - Letter from Witham & Co., Westminster, London to McConnells stating that Fther Thomson had decided not to proceed with the purchase of the Greyfriars Mission Hall. [20 Sep 1955]
