    Letter from Joshua Malden to Thomas Flint Field, cheesemonger, of Newgate St, London. Has reached agreement with Brown worth 400 to Field. Field's to have the ploughed field adjoining his home close, which adds to the convenience of the homestall. Also the little meadow opposite the house which will make good sweard at a trifling expense. The ditch at the bottom of Fielding's Ground is full - when opened, the meadow will be as dry as Field's home close. Field has gained 4ac 2r of land, and 30 to 40 of wood in the little meadow, and they will do all the fencing and ditching. Advises Field not to lay out a considerable sum in repairs this season except cut down some timber this winter and do the repairs in the spring with his own wood. Lands agreed for exchange between the Countess de Grey and Thomas Field by Thomas Brown, agent to the Countess, and Joshua Malden, agent to Field: Mr Field's land - Little Wood close, Great Wood close, Buckle Grove Wood, Edens Piece in Pulloxhill - total 14ac 2r Countess de Grey's land - Vitchey Close, Spinney in same, Little Fieldings meadow, Kitchen End close S of home close, and part of Fieldings meadow - total 19ac. 23 October 1819.
