    Body to be buried in churchyard at Barton in the Clay. Surrenders to the use of all his copyhold in Manor of Barton. - to son John Field an annuity of 20 pa from the Barton copyhold late occupied by Samuel Brasier, to be paid equally at midsummer's day and Christmas day, and if the sum is not paid within 20 days of each feast day he has authority to enter into each messuage and distrain until he is fully paid - to son John the great silver tankard marked R F on the handle - to son Thomas Field the copyhold messuages and lands in the Manor of Barton except Stonely Wood - to son Charles Nicholls Field Stonely Wood, Barton and Bushy Close, Higham Gobion - to wife Mary the bed, bedding, valences and blankets, looking glasses, chests of drawers, stools, chairs, tables and other furniture belonging to the Best Room over the kitchen in the house he lives in, in Hitchin, and all the bed, bedding, etc belonging to the Brown Room over the Hall in the same house, and all silver plate, except the tankard bequeathed to John and four silver teaspoons - to wife Mary two pairs of sheets - to the churchwardens and oversees of the poor of Barton 50s to buy bread bread to be distributed to the poor of Barton - executors to bury him in linen - the residue to sons John, Thomas and Charles Nicholls, executors Dated 1725.
