- TitleLetter Reads- Comments about the proposals for Ridgmont Station which will be useful for both Eversholt and Salford. Mentions that Mr Burness is recovering slowly from his illness. Mr Bennett, having talked to Mr Anderson, explains the problem of the "arrears" as he sees it. Mr Bennett will be meeting with Mr S Whitbread about a boundary fence between Cople and Cardington. The Duke will also be there and may go to Sheerhatch Wood to see the damage done to the underwood by rabbits and hares. The Duke has given up the shooting in Milton Wood to Mr Smart and Wavendon Wood and part of Brickhill Plantation to Mr Hoare and is "done with" that part of Flitwick Wood and adjoining land rented from Mr Brooks "so that, along with the slaughter there has been", will satisfy the tenants that the Duke has done what "Sir R Peel and Sir J Graham so earnestly recommended the others might on Bright's motion".
