Letter Reads- Gas [lighting] would be of no particular benefit to the office but for the farm and store yard where there is so much valuable property it might be useful in addition to the night watchman although it would not be possible to dispense with him. Bennett will try and find out the number of labourers employed in the parish. The total population at the last census was 1914 but the heads of households were not classified
