Letter Reads- Gurney's land at Lidlington for sale. Situated on left hand side of Hill, joins Duke's land on top of the hill and runs down towards the village - there is a house, barn, stable and let at a rent much more than its real value. Feels it is worth 400. Has an application (made a second time) from a Mr. E.W. Ashfield for the Drakeloe Lodge. Latter married a daughter of the late Mr. Wright who had large school at Apsley, is also an intimate friend of Mr. Lawford of Leighton. Wishes to look at house when Lord Charles has gone in a few days, but need Duke's permission first.
