Letter Reads- Topham has been with Duke again; Duke asked my opinion; could see no reason to alter it. Choice of tenant between Horrell & Cook; discussion of. Duke has highest character of Horrell from Capt. Duberly. Duke also discussed sale; annoyed by applications. Small: one of those vested interests in Duke's estate; where a person once gets a footing there they are to remain. Duke was perfectly good-humoured. Also spoke of church pews.
