Send by Tues. post to Basingstoke an abstract of Penton's lease to Chamberlayne in order to enter same in ledger
Chamberlayne promised sometime ago to lend me the lease but cannot find it. I have received the theodolite; propose to return to Wing, as I would not take on me to survey with such a bauble unless I did not care whether I surveyed true or false. Hope to finish in a week. Sorry the poor girl that went from hence is so dangerously ill of the smallpox. Has Mr Levinz sent to enquire after me:
