  • Title
Letter from Matthew Smith, Millbrook Warren (A still longer tale of woe about foxes) Understands the Duke sent his previous letter (51) to Lord Ossory. Has killed no foxes for 1 yrs., except 3 or 4 which got into traps for stoats and weasels; also a litter of cubs. The commoners come with dogs to cart fern, turf, rush and dung, and they exceed their rights. (Further complaints of the commoners). (A long confused letter). Transcript available
