Letter to Duke from Thomas Griffin from Portsmouth
Apologises for further delay. The work was to have been delivered to me at Trincomalee on my way home. Governor Foster's death affected matters. The whole cost (nearly 500) has been drawn, as payment must be made in advance. The bed is now on its way home in the Portobello, Captain Fisher. The Bengal people say it is the finest ever made as well as the cheapest.
