Letter from Mathew Duane, Lincoln's Inn Reads- I enclose the will of Mr. Jeffreys who died this morning. I am sorry he hasn't done something more for his man who has lived with him almost since the Earl of Upper Ossory's death, and has attended him night and day I am informed his wages were small; he told me that Mr. Jeffrey's promised when he took him to give him all his cloaths; whereas the best of them are left to Mr. Foveaux. The poor man pressed very hard for a mourning frock that he might appear in a manner suitable to the respect due to the memory of his master. I propose to bury him at Chelsea in a private manner and with as little expense as decency will admit of.
