Letter to Robert Butcher from Captain Thomas. Sheldon, Basgree Road Reads- We have heard that Lord Anson is dead and that Ld. Halifax is at the head of the Admiralty Board. Would you honor me with a recommendation to his Lordship. I have suffered many hardships by promotion over my head. I have been on duty all the war which makes my hardship all the greater.
