Letter to Robert Butcher from Becuda, Bedford House. Reads- Have forwarded your letter to Mr. Taylor of Lynn. Mr. Butcher has set out for Bath. I have communicated to Mr. Moore. I send a sample of His Grace's peas from Mr. Faulkner, wherewith I propose to call on Mr. Farrer. I have not yet received sample from Thornhaugh but have wrote Wing. Glad the commissions arrived safely. Have made several enquiries but cannot learn that any commissions have been delivered to militia officers. Mr. Barbor came last night, shall wait on him tomorrow for his information. Mr. Forbes thinks fees should be taken of the officers. 2.2s for Ensigns & Lieutenants; 1.1s for Captains & Majors; 3.3s for Little-Cols. and Colonels. Mr. Tregayle is come to town. There were no papers in Mr. Gollop's leases of Berwick Place; but I purpose to take all such out of the Dorset papers as relate to him.
