Title
Letter from Thomas Churchman at Cambridge to Robert Butcher
Reads- Mr Dare wants to go back into his farm, but I wound't recommend him myself - the damage the Duke has suffered through Dare's management of the farm is scarcely repairable. If the Etheophion can change his skin and the Lepord his spots, then you might take Mr Dare for a tenant. Mr. Gifford's commotions at not being given the farm after all. Thank goodness you never promised Mr. Gifford he cld have it. I wonder if the rent youre charging Mr. Dare is fair? Perhaps you ought to alter the size of the farms on the estate? Even if you didn't plow any of the land, you could make more money out of that farm than you are at the moment - through sheep and the woods and the orchards.
