Title
Letter from Richard Disbrowe at Thorney to Robert Butcher
Reads- Am preparing answers to your letter and Mr. Wynns as fast as I can, but have been delayed by Mr. Burdetts stay in Norfolk. You also want the Thornhaugh rental for Lady Day 1739 with the quantity of land each tenant holds which I will prepare as soon as my business at Thorny permits. Desbrowes own house and land at Thornhaugh rented at 10 (?) an acre, 40 acres. He has a man and wife in his house to take care of it and "dress my victualls" for which they have the living in the house and the benefit of the garden. Contracts for his Grace to peruse.
