  • Scope and Content
    (i) St. Andrew Beauchamp Lord St. John (ii) Ministers and Churchwardens of Bletsoe - plot near churchyard (plan), with schoolroom, schoolhouse and outbuildings. in trust to use as a school for the education of children and adults or children only "of the labouring, manufacturing and other poorer classes" in the parish of Bletsoe. To be in union with and conducted according to the principles of the National Society for promoting the Education of the Poor in the Principles of the Established Church. The Minister to superintend the religious and moral instruction, and may use the premises as a Sunday school. In all other respects the management is to be vested in a Committee consisting of the Minister as Chairman, the Curate, St.Andrew Beauchamp, Jn. Thomas, Bletsoe, farmer, Daniel Hipwell, Bletsoe, miller and farmer. On their death or resignation to be replaced by a person being a communicant, with a life estate at least in Bletsoe or adj. parish, and contributing at least 20/- p.a. to school funds. Master or Mistress to be C of E. Ladies Committee may assist in visitation and management of the Girls School and Infants School.
