Title
Note that Rev.Cumming had sent a copy of his case for the opinion of Mr.Plumer and the case and opinion was then in London in the hands of Mr.Pearce's agent, Stevens, Hampson acting for Crawley. Cumming perceived that the Inclosure Commissioners were not permitted to set out an allotment in lieu of tithes of old inclosures for which moduses were claimed and, if they believed the moduses correct, they were to be left as they were; sums now paid vary from those set out in a terrier of 1712 and the little churchyard mentioned therein could not be ascertained, though the Commissioners deemed it to be Crawley's property as no one else claimed it
