Recites (II) death of Wm Sanders 5 Dec 1871 at Stevington Recites (III) will of Wm Sanders pro 27 Jan 1872 at Northampton Recites (IV) Wm Sanders died seized of a) messuage in Church End, Stevington with gardens, formerly occ by Joel Gledwell, bounded N by brook dividing this from other property belonging to Wm Sanders, S by property (b), E by George Peregrine Nash, W in part by (b) and part by the Town Street of Stevington; b) cottage and small garden formerly orchard containing about 30 poles in Stevington Church end, formerly occ by Levi Cox , bounded N by (a), S by (c), E formerly by G P Nash and W by Town Street of Steventon; c) small piece of garden, part of orchard in Steventon Church End, formerly occ by John Perkins, James Ruffhead and Ebenezer Eaton, bounded N by (b), S mainly by larger part of the orchard ["long time since contacted to be sold to Walter Anderson" crossed thru] and slightly by land formerly of G P Nash, E by G P Nash, and W by Town Street of Steventon; d) Cottage in Stevington Church End formerly occ by ["Richard Ingersole, afterwards" crossed thru] William Eaton with part of a pightle of 1 rood of pasture adjoining, formerly belonging to Wm Hides ["then his wife formerly in the occ of Wm Pool" crossed thru], and the 4th allotment in Stevington called Normans Old Close containing 26 poles, also an allotment part of an ancient inclosure called Normans containing 30 poles held at 1s 6d pa; e) cottage and garden containing 37 poles ["in Church St" added in pencil], Stevington formerly occ by Wm Dickens, and 4 [crossed thru, "three" written in pencil] dwellinghouses erected by William Millard on part of the garden, formerly occ by ["Wm Wheeton, Francis Howlett, Richard Keech & Thomas Clarke" crossed thru] Charles Glydall Hyde & John Johnson. Wm Sanders was admitted to (a) (b) and (c) 2 April 1849, and to (d) on 9 August 1838 for the joint natural lives of him and Phoebe his wife, and to (e) on 2 July 1858. Recites (V) Phoebe Sanders died 3 Decr 1871. Recites (VI) Joseph Robinson was admitted tenant to all the property from (a) to (e) according to the custom of the manor, and fined 7s 6d.
