    1) Geoffrey Arthur Holme Bower MC TD and Christopher Walter Bower BA (Cantab) (vendors), 2) HM Principal Secretary of State for the War Dept, for 1,225 in fee simple under the Defence Acts 1842 and 1935, of: - a) 1.946 acres in Kempston part of enclosure no 240 on OS map XVI (1937 revision), coloured pink and brown on plan - reserving to (1) the right for agricultural purposes to pass over pathway M-N-C coloured brown on plan; b) 5.231 acres in Kempston part of enclosure no 240 on OS map XVI (1937 revision), coloured green on plan - reserving to (1) the right in common for agricultural purposes to pass over pathway K-P coloured red on plan; (2) covenants to - construct a pathway 9' wide along land coloured brown; - erect on the S side of footpath M-N-C, D-F, F-G fences of wired split chestnut paling about 3' 6" high; - construct a gateway minimum 9' wide at K for access to Bedford Road from the right of way K-P. (1) covenants to produce scheduled deeds, beginning with conveyance 27th June 1894. Recites (I) - James Harold Howard late of Kempston Grange was at his death the estate owner. Recites (II) - James Harold Howard died 27 March 1930, his will dated 2 May 1928 appointing wife Mary Howard executrix, proved 4 June 1930.
