Assignment of lease between 1) Robert Clements, glover of Bedford 2) William Howe, hosier of Bedford 3) William Upton, feltmonger of Bedford, from (1) to (2) for 40 years for 60 with rent of 10s pa payable quarterly, the remainder of the term transferred to (3) for 38. - a) cottage in Pepper Alley, Bedford St John late occ by William Skillington, now by Widow Holloway, and a little tenement or dwellinghouse, formerly a barn, in Pepper Alley late occ by William Tall, now by William Hart. - b) free use of water well in Pepper Alley jointly with the other occupiers of the Alley. Reciting - indenture 15 November 1791 between 1) Revd John Parker, Bachelor of Divinity and Master of the Hospital of St John the Baptist in Bedford and his co brethren of the same hospital and 2) Robert Clements.
