From: Samuel Whitbread I at Bedwell Park To: Thomas Strong at Red Cross Street I am just come from Welwyn in consequence of this Catalogue - where I was concern'd to see Dr.Young's picture on sale & tho' not an Original is one I wish to buy & prevent being put up at Auction. Mr.Bray I believe of the Law in Russell Street, I hope you know him has the entire conduct of the affair. I beg you would present my compliments to him & tell him my request & Mr.Bray to value it. If he will please to mention my wish to Mr.Young he will I flatter myself desire it may be complyed with. The bearer is to waite for your answer till tomorrow Evening & bring it me the sale is on Munday, when I must be in town. The original was W.Richardson [Note: Bray is probably William Bray of 61 Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury, attorney]
