    ABSTRACT OF TITLE 1884 of Messrs Diemer, Whyley & Piper to land on the Embankment, Bedford St Cuthbert. Recites conveyance 21 November 1882 from 1) George Bower, gas engineer of St Neots, Hunts to 2) Philip Henry Diemer, gent, Mark Whyley, gent and James Peter Piper, gent, all of Bedford for 911.18s of land in Bedford St Cuthbert: N boundary next to land of G Bower 204' 8", W and S fronting Newnham Road 348' 6", and E fronting recently-laid out Albany Street 198', containing "36311 superficial feet or thereabouts" and shown on the attached plan in pink. With the right to pass and repass with or without horses, carts, waggons and other carriages laden or unladen along Albany Street and Newnham Road, and with free use of the sewer or drain under Albany Street, and the right of breaking the soil to connect to any drain in Albany Street until the road is taken over by the Borough of Bedford. Covenant by (2) that - they would not erect any dwellinghouse worth less than 450 - they would not erect any public building or hotel worth less than 1000 - the main wall of any building should not be nearer than 20' to the road - they would keep the part of Albany Street fronting their land in repair until the Borough took it over - they would not permit any business which would require a public shop Covenant by (1) to produce scheduled deeds - Indenture 16 February 1882 between 1) Charles Robert Wade-Gery, 2) William Hugh Wade-Gery and 3) G Bower - Indenture 16 February 1882 between 1) C R Wade-Gery, 2) Peter John Locke King and 3) G Bower
