States that he encloses a cheque, saying his son, No.153561 Lt.G S Darlow R.A. a prisoner of war in Italy is most grateful for the Red Cross food parcels. George Stephen Darlow was taken prisoner at Tobruk at the end of June 1942. 'I have just heard that battledress was not issued in this camp until the end of January this year. Can you tell me whether the issue of battledress would be likely to include boots or shoes, as we have just had a letter from my son dated early November, in which he says that his only shoes were in such a state his activities were restricted.
