Records of Wright and Co., Wine Merchants, Market Place, Sandy. The business appears to have been started by George Wright who is listed as a wine, spirit and coal merchant at Girtford Wharf in the directories until 1885. In 1886 the business became a limited company and moved to Market Square, Sandy (see note at front of day book X784/1/1) where it remained until it ceased trading between 1931 and 1936.
