Mrs Phillips had been researching the history of the parishes and families of Clophill and Silsoe since the 1930s however these research notes date from the 1950s to the 1980s.
The Clophill notes were used in preparation for Mrs Phillips booklet The Clophill Story published in 1988. Mrs Phillips was also a regular contributor to The Bedfordshire Magazine between 1957 and 1965.
Transcripts of material held by Bedfordshire & Luton Archives Service have not been kept unless they appear to make access to the information easier e.g. by being translations from Latin etc. Some transcripts of letters in the British Library made by Mrs Phillips can be found in the Bedfordshire & Luton Archives Service under reference CRT100/27/1-4.
