On an excavation carried out at the site of a watermill on the River Flit which closed c.1886, the site being in the path of the Ampthill Bypass. The publication gives details of findings as well as: illustration of 19th century water mill in Flitwick; section through brick storm culvert; photo of view of the site; photo of sluice channels; photo of water wheel track in situ; photo of premill stream bed in bank; and a section of bypass culvert cut through when stream was diverted.
