    Probate of the will of the Rev Daniel Josias Olivier of Clifton, Clerk all just debts and funeral expenses to be paid with all convenient speed after his death funeral to be as plain as possible. Body to be clothed in usual nightdress. No shroud to be used but body wrapped in a clean sheet. Lead coffin not to be used but one of oak with plain oak moulding around the lid. No coffin furniture to be used on inside of coffin. No plates, handles or other ornaments on the outside except for a brass plate containing his name, age and date of death. No one is to sit up at night with his body. If dies in neighbourhoood of Clifton his body is to be carried to the grave by 8 sober and respectable labourers resident in Clifton. Each of them to be given a suit of dark grey clothes and a hat band. To have bread and a quart of beer in the kitchen Body not to be followed to the grave except by such male members of the family as may desire to do so. No escutcheon to be put up at house in which he resided at his death nor in Clifton Parish Church but name, age and number of years during which he was Rector to be engraved on family tombstone in Clifton churchyard. If he dies away from Clifton then to be buried in churchyard of parish in which he dies Funeral to take place on the sixth day after his death. If such day be a Sunday then funeral to take place on the Monday.Coffin to be placed in the ground without brickwork and, cont if possible, below or by side of all such other coffins which may have deposited in the grave. If distance from house and church too far to conveniently carry his body to the grave then hearse and one or two mourning coaches drawn by 2 horses each without plumes may be provided Funeral not to be accompanied by mutes By marriage settlement of 17 June 1815 made between himself, his wife, then Sarah Eliza Chambers, and William Daniel Conybeare and Richard Shafto Chambers, a sum of £10,000 3% consolidated Bank annuities were settled in trust for himself and wife succcessively and then for the children and grandchildren, born in lifetime of himself and wife, as he may provide by deed or will.
