Letters (Parker and Johnson families etc) Letter from Jane Seare to Mrs Parker Hopes she will not impute long silence to insensibility of favours received. Has been in a continual hurry since has been in town. Had an agreeable account of Mr Parker's health from Mr Johnson. Had a wild goose chase last Tuesday. Went with Mrs Dormer to see Miss Parker at Chelsea. Could hear of no such person as Madam Letuche but was at last told the boarding school was at Little Chelsea a mile or two off so trudged home without seeing "our young lady". Had better luck yesterday. Goes next Monday to the Lord Mayor's "there will be very fine company". Has been to an oratorio. "Went with a lady and her lover...we had a very merry Girl with us and she and I was very joyous whilst they made love". [written later.] "The last day of wearing Cambricks...you know what distress I was in having but very few Muslins".Selesia Lawn are much greater price that last year so awaits her further orders. Has got a very handsome first floor [apartment] at Mr Gilliers in Frith Street, Soho, Westminster.
