    Cheapside and Barbers Lane, Luton (another piece of land) Mortgage (i) Thomas Puddephatt, Rothsay Road, Luton, builder (ii) Charles Pigott, Stopsley, Luton, farmer consideration - £500 paid by (i) to (ii), and interest at 5% pa (i) conveys to (ii) -piece of land containing 550 square feet, in Barbers Lane, Luton bounded as before but with warehouse of Frank Chapman Scargill on N. -messuage or warehouse built on said piece of land by Thomas Puddephatt to hold to use of (ii) to be redeemed on payment of said £500 and interest (i) covenants to insure premises in £500 powers of leasing conferred on mortgages in possession by Conveyancing and Law of Property Act, 1881, shall not apply to this mortgage, and (i) shall not, without consent in writing of (ii) be at liberty to demise premises except from year to year sig of (i) endorsed wit Richard Cooke, sol, Luton 27 June 1883 also endorsed with: Transfer of mortgage (a)Charles Pigott (b)Alfred Wesley Blows, Luton, plait merchant (c)Henry Gates, Sundon, gentleman supplemental to deed of 16 July 1883 made between Thomas Puddephatt and (b) being the conveyance of the equity of redemption of within mentioned property said £500 is still owing now in consideration of said £500 paid to (a) by (c) at request of (b) (a) as mortgagee assigns to (c) -said principal sum of 500 etc also (a) and (b) convey to (c) -piece of land, warehouse etc to hold subject to equity of redemption (b) covenants with (c) to pay principal sum and interest at 4% pa sigs of (a) and (b) wit John Gates, sol, Luton 26 March 1890
