Assignment of mortgage (i) Salome Scott, Luton, widow Walter Lee, Bristol, gentleman Peter Rutherford, Harpenden, Herts, gentleman (executrix and executors of will of Walter Scott, Luton, deceased) (ii) Cornelia Young (iii) William Young Richard Young Thomas Young Amos Young Matthew Young (children of (ii)) (iv) Richard How, Luton, Victualler reciting that Matthew Young has attained 21 reciting also that Walter Scott was recently dead and by his Will dated 19 December 1840, he appointed (i) as executrix and executors, who proved it in PCC on 16 January 1844 said £400 is still due which (i) require to be paid now in consideration of £400 paid to (i) by (iii) (i) at request of (ii) and (iii), assign to (iv) - The Cross Keys etc to hold for remainder of term of 1000 years subject to equity of redemption, charged with repayment of said £400 and interest on trust (as above) (iv) shall be at liberty to insure premises in sum not exceeding £400 mortgaged premises shall not be redeemed until whole £400 repaid marks of (ii) and Thomas Young sigs of others endorsed receipt wits Charles Austin Thos Erskine Austin Edm Williamson
