By his will dated 28 August 1900 he appointed his son, John David Freeman, and his grand-daughter's husband, Frederick Janes, as executors and trustees and he devised to them his 2 cottages in Chase Street in trust to allow son, said J D Freeman, to receive rents and profits for life, and after his death to grandson, J T Freeman, for his own absolute use and benefit. Will proved (PPR) on 3 April 1901. J T Freeman, who was born on 29 November 1887 attained age of 21 on 29 November 1908. Now in consideration of £110 paid to (i) by (ii) (i) convey to (ii) - 2 messuages etc at Chase Street, New Town NE messuages etc late of Henry Coles Brown but now of William Childs NW Chase Street SW formerly Joseph Poulton, now - SE formerly Henry Taylor, now James Pollard which premises were formerly occupied by William Allen but now by John David Freeman and Emily Day, and known as 35 and 37 Chase Street.
