He died on 14 March 1861 and was buried at Luton Church Cemetery. Will proved (PPR) on 27 April 1861. Now in consideration of £225 paid by (ii) to (i) (i) releases to (ii) - piece of land in Chase Street, New Town, Luton (20p and 10ft) NW Chase Street SE representatives of late Benjamin Bolton NE Matthias Clarke SW representatives of Thomas Crow - 3 cottages etc lately built on the land by George Barrett now in occupation of John Lawrence, William Templeman and William Emmerton to use of (ii) or to (iii) as trustee for (ii) Sigs of (i) and (ii) endorsed receipt Wits George Bailey, sol, Luton George Sell, his clerk
