    Miscellaneous personal papers Tenancy agreement. 1.Trustees of the Hospital of St John the Baptist, Bedford (landlords). 2.Alfred, Odell, 22 St Johns Street, Bedford, bootmaker (tenant). 1. lets to 2. messuage, shop, garden and premises, 22 St Johns Street for 3 years from 25 March 1924 at an annual rent of £50 payable quarterly. 2. shall: pay rent, taxes and rates due except land tax; keep inside of shop in good repair, reasonable wear and tear excepted: not underlet without permission of 1., but such permission not to be withheld provided reasonable tenant found; not to make alterations or additions without written permission of 1., if such additions are made without permission they shall belong to 1. 1. shall: at all reasonable times be able to inspect the premises, have right of re-entry on non payment of rent after 21 days under any circumstances.
