If son predeceases him then above property devised to grandson, Douglas Frederick Howard, the son of J H Howard
Anxious desire is that The Abbey Close should long be in possession of members of the family, but this is not to create a trust or fetter the legal disposition of the property

Remainder to son, or grandson, as above son and son-in-law James Rollason of Pype Hayes Hall, Erdington, Warwicks, appointed executors and trustees

Trustees to put £1000 on deposit with the London County and Westminster Bank at Bedford on trust to pay out £100 pa to the Superintendent Minister of St Mary's Circuit, to be disposed of quarterly as follows:
£7 10s to organist to St Mary's Chapel, Bedford
£1 5s for organist of Sunday School of said Chapel
Balance to be divided between St Mary's Chapel Trust and Quarter Board of St Mary's Circuit
Reason for directing payment of said sum in aforesaid manner, is that he confidently hopes that before exhaustion of the whole 'others may be raised up to carry on the work I have tried to do in connection with the said Chapel, Sunday School and Circuit'

On trust for sale. To use:
To pay debts, funeral expenses, legacies and duties payable etc remainder to be invested in certain specified investments, or freehold land subject to leases of at least 40 years - to be conveyed on trust for sale and to be considered personal estate in equity
To hold on trust for children living at his death and grandchildren living (being issue of deceased daughters Helen and Agnes Adeline or of any other child who may die in his lifetime) who being male attain 21 years or being female attain that age or marry under that age
Any interest of female beneficiary shall be for her separate use
Any partnership lands etc to trustees so as to carry out the Articles of Partnership
Power given to trustees to advance moiety of presumptive share of any minors for their maintenance or education. Power of maintenance not to be exercised for grandchildren unless Trustees consider it necessary to do so
Various powers given to trustees including power to appoint new trustees
