    Will (office copy) Rev John Emery, Kimbolton, Hunts Minister of the Gospel, extracted from the Registry of Huntingdon Archdeaconry, bequeaths: - to Mr William Murfin, Great Staughton, Hunts, £160 - son William Emery £5000 (upwards of which he at present stand indebted to me) - John Westly who lives with son William £20 at 21 years - Ann Edis, daughter of Robert Edis, Little Staughton, Beds, £10 - and subject to said legacies, debts and funeral expenses bequeath messuage, lands and herds in Kimbolton, Wilden and Ravensden and all other real estate and all goods chattels and credits to son-in-law William Freeman, Bedford, upholsterer, son John Emery, Bedford, grocer, and son-in-law Thomas Wiles, Collsden, Eaton Socon, farmer and their heirs and assigns, upon trust that they or survivors or heirs shall dispose of real estate after my decease by public auction or otherwise and also to sell said good, chattels and effects and then after payment of debts, funeral expenses and legacies and all costs attending the execution of the trusts to divide the residue equally among daughter Elizabeth, wife of William Freeman, John Emery and Thomas Wiles or issue in event of their decease. - William Freeman, John Emery, Thomas Wiles, joint executors Original signed and sealed 4 September 1799 and witnessed by Thomas Peck, Wm Day and Richard Gardiner Whereas given to son William Emery £500 and by codicil gives a further £100 to son William Emery and in all other respects verify and confirm will. Original signed, sealed, witnessed and dated as above. Will and codicil was proved 25 September 1799 before the Rev John Thompson Clerk.
