    Conveyance (lease and release) 1 Thomas Palmer, late of St Pauls, Bedford, grocer, but now of St Marys Bedford, gent (Vendor) 2 Edward Green, St Gabriel, Fenchurch Street, Middx, Esq (purchaser) Witnesseth conveyance by 1 to 2 in consideration £1300 of: - messuage, tenement or farmhouse at Hudwick als. Udwick End, Wilden formerly occupied by William Wagstaff and afterwards John Smith - la pasture adjacent - 2åa pasture Barn Close alias the Crofts - 1åa pasture Huntscroft Close - 2a pasture Acrehedge Close - 1åa pasture Round Close - 1åa pasture Hovell Close - 1a pasture Townsend Close - 1åa land Penn Close - 3a pasture Prumsey and Umpsey Closes - 80a several parcels of arable land, ley and meadow in the common fields - and also 2 closes, one of pasture, the other arable and pasture land, and formerly being one pightle at Smartwick End, Wilden called Lords Close or Wilden Grove containing 12a formerly occupied by Benjamim Knight, since John Smith and afterwards John Swales - and also that toft whereon a cottage formerly stood adjacent to the said close in Smartwick End and now being parcel thereof. All which last mentioned premises purchased by Thomas Palmer of Thomas Faldo, Bedford, gent and Sam Folbigg, Colmworth, yeoman and Mary his wife - also that la pightle of ley or sward ground in Wilden occupied by John Swales - 1a meadow occupied by John Swales - 22åa arable land in Common fields of Wilden late occupied by Henry Wagstaff All which said last mentioned premises were purchased by Thomas Palmer of Thomas Thompson, Potton, perukemaker - and also messuage cottage or tenement at Wilden occupied by [blank] Knight afterwards Thomas Davis - and that close of 2a pasture at Wilden adjacent said messuage formerly occupied by [blank] Knight and afterwards Thomas Davis - 16a arable and ley ground in the Common Fields of Wilden - 2a more arable land in the Common Fields of Colmworth formerly occupied by [blank] Knight and afterwards Thomas Davis All which last mentioned premises purchased by Thos Palmer of Jane Marks, Bedford, widow - and also 5 several closes pasture or enclosed ground with appurtenances at Wilden known by the names of Brook Close, Wheathouse Yard Close, Gt Cuckowes, Little Cuckowes and Ruddocks Pightle formerly occupied by Richard Wagstaff and afterwards Henry Swales - also those 2 other several closes of pasture ground or spinneys with appurtenances at Wilden and formerly called Two Crowfield spinneys formerly occupied by Richard Wagstaff and afterwards Mary Swales - 36a being several pieces of arable land, ley, meadow and pasture with appurtenances lying dispersed in the parish fields, occupied by Richard Wagstaff and afterwards Henry Swales All which last mentioned premises purchased by Thomas Palmer of Robert Bowyer, Stevington mattmaker and Ann his wife - and also messuage, cottage or tenement at East End, Wilden - 3a pasture adjacent occupied by George Cooke All premises purchased by Thomas Palmer in moieties one moiety of Mary Henson, Bedford, widow and the other moiety of Benjamin King, Bedford, gent The whole of which said lands and hereditaments now in several occupations of Edward Ambridge, Edward Taylor, Stephen Parish and Richard Samworth, their undertenants or assigns - also all other messuages, lands etc whatsoever of him the said Thomas Palmer in Wilden and Colmworth (except as not intended to be hereby granted). 2 cottages not mentioned above, and 1a 3r arable land in parcel of premises described, situate at Wilden, and have been sold out before by said Thomas Palmer to Daniel Marshall, Thomas Davis and John Thompson, together with all houses, outhouses etc and appurtenances and all muniments re title of said premises. 2 to enjoy premises without hindrance and enjoy all rents save annual quit rent not exceeding 5s 9åd payable from parts of premises to the land of the Manor of Wilden and one annual quit rent 1s 1d and payable from 6a in Mill Field, Wilden aforesaid parcell of the said premises to land St John as Lord of the Manor of Barford. - and also one term of 1000 years granted of and in said premises to Thos Woodward - and one other term of 1000 years granted in said premises or part thereof to George Makeham - one term of 5000 years granted to Philip and John Faldo. - all which several terms of years are by several deeds poll of even date with these parcels and indorsed respectively on the several indentures of assignment by the several persons in whom the same became severally vested in Nathaniel Hulme his executors admins and assigns in trust for said Edward Green, his heirs and assigns. - and also except the following agreements or leases: :one to Edward Armtage of part of said premises for 9 years from Lady Day 1772 :one to Stephen Parish and Edward Taylor of party of said premises for 9 years from Lady Day 1772 :one to Richard Samworth the residue of such premises for 6 years from Michaelmas 1770 - lastly that Thomas Palmer and others who claim any interest or title in premises shall at reasonable request and proper costs and charges in Law of said Edward Green execute all lawful acts and deed etc to make more perfect the conveyance of said premises to Edward Green Signed and sealed: Thos Palmer Witnesses: Jeremy Fish Palmer, Thos Kidman
