MESSRS ANTHONY & BISS LEDGER of Messrs Anthony & Biss, dentists and chemists 1888 - 1889 indexed to patients' names, Material sold includes photographic equipment [see folio 72, account for Mrs. Edwards of 23 Adelaide Square] Messrs Anthony & Biss, chemists then dentists, were at 48 High Street, Bedford. The Bedford directory for 1887 gives John W. Biss there, surgeon-dentist, though in the street directory the number is also Anthony & Biss, chemists etc. Between 1939 and 1959 J. Sidney Biss of The Cottage, Tempsford, Beds., gave various prints etc. to the Record Office. He was obviously a friend of Mr. Soper, and letters from him on fishing matters can be found in Z447/112 and 113
