    Notebooks kept by Thomas Smith Newman Notebook with autograph 'H.F.E. Newman, Braughing' [Herts] Contains copies of poems and poems composed by 'T.S.N.', as well as items such as prayers and what could be sermon notes. One page refers to a poem 'copied by Francis Edward Newman...then by his brother T.S.N at St Peters Hill Stanford 9/1/[18]68' There is also a poem by Thomas S Newman called 'While in Spalding'. In March 1868 he is writing from Ampthill then Braughing. Also contains some loose press cuttings - mainly poems.
