Copy apprenticeship indenture 1 George Coleman, the elder, Cranfield, gent 2 George Coleman, the younger, son of 1 3 Michael Foster, Huntingdon, Member of the Royal College of Surgeons, London Witnesseth 2 to be bound to 3 with consent of 1, to be an articled student of the art and science of surgery for 5 years. 2 to behave properly etc. Consideration: £100 immediately and £99 on 1 October 1851 And also 3 to promise to instruct 2 well in practice of surgeon, apothecary and accoucheur, provide sufficient board and lodging and allow him during the last 3 years of the term to attend lectures and hospital practise in London for his further instruction and improvement; 3 to supply suitable wearing apparel Provided nevertheless that if George Coleman the younger dies before 1 October 1851 the sum of £99 shall not be paid and the apprenticeship to be void.
