    Conveyance (lease and release, fine and recovery; 2 items) 1a Henry Arnold, late Moreton, Dorset, but now Great Taller, Dorset, Gent. 1b Mary his wife (vendors) 2a Robert Wilmot, Eggerton, Dorset, mason 2b Thomas Wilmot, Moreton, Dorset, wheelwright (vendors) 3 James Backhouse, Furnivals Inn, London, gent (tenant to the precipe) 4 Daniel Foster, citizen and fishmonger, London (tenant) 5 Robert Hill, Cranfield, carrier (purchaser) Whereas by lease and release of 2/3 May 1735 i Henry Arnold (vendor) ii Robert and Thomas Wilmot (purchasers) iii Mary wife of Henry Arnold, then Mary Wilmot, spinster, daughter of Robert Wilmot Conveyance by i to ii and heirs all that: - messuage or tenement with appurtenances at Wharley End, Cranfield, formerly possessed by Melchizedeck Arnold, gent, deceased, father of Henry Arnold, gent, also deceased, and then Henry Arnold brother and heir of Gould - 12a, closes or pightles of pasture adjoining the messuage, in the possession, successively, as above. East: copyhold land of Simon Bazeley West: ground William Roberts - With all houses, buildings, barns, stables etc. To the use of Henry Arnold and heirs until the marriage (then intended) between him and Mary Wilmot and afterwards to Henry Arnold during his life, and afterwards to wife Mary and lawful heirs and in default of heirs by the terms of the current lease and release later recited And Whereas the said messuage has been lately pulled down and said Robert Hill has agreed with Henry Arnold to purchase the said ground Witnesseth conveyance by 1a to 5 in consideration of £218, and 10s. paid to 1 and 2 by 3 - parcel of ground where the messuage stood and 12a now in the tenure of Matthew Ward and all outbuildings etc. Yet nevertheless as well as this deed a fine to be levied on 3 to become a tenant of the premises at the cost and charge of 4. And all persons with an interest in the estate to be free of any liability, except for a lease on the premises made by Henry Arnold to Matthew Ward for three years from Lady Day 1740 Sighed and sealed by the parties Witnesses: Edmund Benson, Richard Woods, Robert Bevess.
