Chas. Dymoke sr. of Cranfield gent. Chas. Dymoke jr. & Josh. Hartwell, carpenter Recites:- -- Gt. Hookes wood, Lt. Hookes, & Hooks meadow were on 28 July 1684 contracted to be purchased for £1,300 by Chas. Dymoke sr.; Dymoke jr. and Hartwell contracted with him to buy 2/3 @ £866 13s.4d. (Dymoke sr.'s share being Lt. Hookes & Hookes meadow & 6 a. of Gt. Hookes; while Dymoke jr. and Hartwell were to have the rest of Gt. Hooks wood);- (The acreage, on Fra. Bedcott's survey, being then estimated at 61 a., the meadow being 8 a. & Lt. Hooks 6 a.) Also a cartway was to be made; Now the area is found to be much smaller; and thus various modifications are found necessary; Witn. Wm. Grumant, F. Aldridge. 9 September 1685.
Endorsed with note of bond for payment of £11 by Hartwell; Witn. (--imes?), Ste. Parish, Fra. Aldridge. 30 November 1685.
