Photographic postcard of Whiteman's cycle shop, St.Andrew's Place, Biggleswade. The shop appears to be decorated with flags and bunting. Outside the shop in front of the shop window stand a boy, a girl, and two bicycles. [William Arthur Whiteman was listed as a joiner, undertaker & cycle agent in Church Street in 1898. By 1903 he ran a cycle shop at St Andrew's Place. In directories of 1920-1928 the shop is described as being at 6 High Street - however all these addresses are most probably the same premises. The view shows the middle of the range of property at the junction of High Street, Shortmead Street and St Andrew's Street, viewed from the High Street looking west.]
