  • Title
Letter from John D Bassett, Roscoe and Beasley, 82, Old Broad Street, London, to Francis Bassett at Weymouth. Is not surprised Mr Atkinson has written as knows he wishes to keep matter out of court. Crisp offered terms they could not accept. Since the separation he has adopted a course of insult and annoyance. Has now let house furnished, having no consideration for his wife's property. Proposes to send Mr Atkinson a copy of the "Heads of Agreement" which Crisp rejected. Have served Crisp with a petition. Atkinson's motives are selfish as they ignore fact that Arthur's conduct has ruined Kitty's life. Morse is a respectable solicitor but does not know the man they are dealing with. London is hot. Markets keep very good. 'You have a nice profit on your Leeds'
